Mastermind Groups are popping up everywhere. But what are they really? And why should you consider joining one? Here are some reasons why you should explore the possibilities of what they could offer:
1. You are looking to increase your level of income.
2. You could be that you are working on a specific project and you want to work with and have access to people that have specific skill-sets.
3. You want to change your mindset. You want to transform the way that you think about success and how to achieve success.
4. Perhaps you join a group to share ideas, to bounce off ideas from other people, to get insights, and to get guidance from specific people. There are people that seek to get some accountability for their actions or lack of actions and in turn join a group.
Another factor to consider prior to joining a mastermind group is the fact that there is more to joining a mastermind community than simply having access to people’s knowledge base and their efforts. Indeed there are people that bring to a group specific skill-sets, knowledge base, but also with those strengths they bring along their deficiencies.
By joining a group, all in turn are joining forces and kind of balancing out the good and the bad. There is an inherent reciprocal relationship within these types of groups. Whatever skill-set you have that strengthens the group it’s critical that you share it. At the same time, you may be lacking in a specific skill or knowledge base but another group member may have the appropriate knowledge base which has the potential to balance the proficiencies within the group.
How do you find a Mastermind Group? Before you answer this question it is critical that you have a solid reason or guiding force why you area joining a Mastermind Group. It helps if you engage in a self-analysis of your assets and limitations. You certainly do need to take an inventory of your strengths and weaknesses.
So then, What are your likes and dislikes? Are there specific ideologies you are searching for in a group?
Remember the focus of a group will be a key indicator of how the members will inspire you. The dominant mindset patterns will inevitably be transferred over to its group members.

I have been in Mastermind groups for the past two years and they have helped me to move forward both personally and professionally. The trick is to find people who will make the commitment to come to the meetings so that they can support the other members as well as get the support they need to move forward.
It is not a social club. It is a serious business networking group, so be advised to look for members with that focus.
Hi Angela,
Thanks for your great advice. You are absolutely right when it comes to finding others who share the same level of committment. It’s key to ensure the success of the group as a whole as well as the success of each individual. I personally enjoy being able to bounce ideas off each other and build on them.
Its really nice idea. I think it would be helpful for all. Thank you for sharing with us.
