Women Still Face Challenges

While we may think that women are making tremendous strides in catching up to men in the workforce, we still have some challenges facing us in all areas of life, ranging from the cultural, political to the economic.

For example, women often work more than men, yet are paid less; gender discrimination affects girls and women throughout their lifetime; and women and girls are often are the ones that suffer the most poverty.

Interesting enough, the affect that this has on women in general is worth mentioning. Woman are contributing to the household income as well as still maintaining the responsibilities of arranging for childcare. It seems that once again, women are taking on more and more, and not receiving equal pay or recognition. Will this ever change? When will we have to stop playing “catch up” with our male counterparts?

Do you feel the same or are you satisfied with how things are going? Does working give you self confidence or add stress to your already busy life?
